Alternative Resources of the Triad Announces Triad Pride 2009
(Greensboro, NC) December 12, 2008: Alternative Resources of the Triad (ART) announces Triad Pride 2009, “Community United in Equality” to be held May 27 – 31, 2009. Triad Pride 2009 is focusing on offering expanded opportunities for all members of the GLBTQ community in the Greater Triad area to participate in an entertaining and informative array of events and activities. After our successful Pride 2008 event with over 500 GLBTQ and friends participating in the Pride Celebration held at Festival Park in downtown Greensboro, ART plans to deliver more vendors, exhibitors, musicians, speakers, and entertainment than in prior years. Check out our website for a tentative schedule of events at www.triadpride.com.
This year’s theme is “Community United in Equality”, reflecting the strength of our community within the framework of the many GLBTQ and friends organizations, businesses, and individuals working together to make the Triad a better place for all GLBTQ individuals and our allies to live, work, and raise families. Our logo represents the unique opportunities offered in the Triad, whether they be the small steps taken on behalf of an individual or the large strides realized when a community is empowered by its diversity.
